National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf have agreed to create conditions for products of each country to enter the other’s market.

During talks in Tehran on August 8, they also agreed to connect localities and enterprises in the two countries to seek business and investment partnerships.

They committed to fostering cooperation in customs and Halal product manufacturing and to resume cooperative mechanisms between the two countries, such as the joint working board for banking cooperation and the working group on trade, in order to identify breakthrough measures for economic and trade links.

NA Chairman Hue proposed that Iran further import Vietnamese farm produce such as rice, tea, peppercorn, coffee, and rubber. Meanwhile, Vietnam will facilitate Iran’s export of dried fruit, he added.

He stressed that Iran is one of Vietnam’s important partners in the Middle East.

Speaker Qalibaf said enterprises in Iran are paying more and more attention to the Vietnamese market. He highly values the political stability and favorable investment and business climate in Vietnam, saying the Iranian side is ready to create optimal conditions for the countries’ enterprises to partner with each other.

They also discussed measures to boost ties in other fields of potential like science and technology, digital transformation, education and training, and tourism.
