Corio Company has participated in the research and development of several renewable energy projects in Vietnam since 2019, and at the same time as a member of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for the Net Zero Emissions Target (GFANZ ), Corio is currently coordinating with several partners to mobilize resources for energy conversion projects in Vietnam.

On March 5, in Australia, under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, at the Vietnam-Australia Business Forum, Corio signed and handed over a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in developing wind power projects. offshore in Vietnam with Power Generation Corporation 3 under Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN).

At the meeting with the Prime Minister, Corio Company leaders presented plans to expand investment in Vietnam; Interested in research to invest in other infrastructure development projects in the future; State some difficulties and obstacles in implementing projects; Proposal to allow implementation of offshore wind power pilot project.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed and highly appreciated the effective business investment activities of Macquarie in general and Corio Generation Company in particular in recent times.

The Prime Minister asked Corio to develop a pilot project and immediately send it to agencies, assigning Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha to directly direct and handle the matter according to its authority. If it exceeds its authority, report it to the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister requested the group to coordinate with relevant ministries, branches, and partners on the Vietnamese side to research and urgently deploy specific projects in the coming time, bringing practical benefits to both sides, The important thing is that the price of wind power must be appropriate, for both parties to benefit.

The Prime Minister also wants Corio to diversify its partners in Vietnam, including Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and Vietnam National Petroleum Group (PVN), which are also experienced enterprises in the field of electricity. wind. At the same time, the Prime Minister said that Vietnam wants to develop the wind power industry, so he asked the group to focus on support and technology transfer, not just investment.
